Semi-Finals Game 1: Avangard - Interkhim 80-57

Avangard crushed Interkhim to spur ahead in the series. Avangard led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game, while Interkhim only scored seven points from the stripe. Avangard forced 19 Interkhim turnovers and outrebounded them 44-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Avangard made 8 blocks. International center Olga Yatskovets (183-97) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocks for the winners and the former international guard Ievgeniia Spitkovska (174-88, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 15 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Four Avangard players scored in double figures. Avangard's coach Volodimir Kholopov felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side swingman Svitlana Kolibabchuk (189-87) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Natalia Kolotovska (173-90) scored 13 points and 4 assists.
