Regular Season Round 12: Hyundai-TSU - DELTA 84-63

Third defeat of league's leader DELTA (9-3) against second ranked Hyundai-TSU (9-3) 84-63 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of DELTA. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Hyundai-TSU. DELTA managed to win fourth quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for point guard Sandro Sanadze (188-95) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 6 assists. South African center Christopher Gabriel (210-88, college: San Diego) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Gabriel is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American Deondre Ray (196, college: Cameron) replied with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Irakli Alkhanaidze (202-92) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for DELTA. DELTA's coach Legso Lapanashvili gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Hyundai-TSU have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with defeated DELTA. DELTA will play next round against Tskaltubo trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Hyundai-TSU will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked BC Titebi on the road.
