Den Bosch (#4) was upset in Den Bosch by eighth ranked Weert 93-80. The game was mostly controlled by Weert. Den Bosch was better in second period 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Den Bosch was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American-French point guard Aleek Pauline (185-87, college: Norfolk St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and guard Jeroen van-Vugt (192-91) supported him with 15 points and 6 assists. Weert's coach Radenko Varagic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Charles Mitchell (203, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) did not help to save the game for Den Bosch. The former international Kees Akerboom (200-83, agency: Court Side) added 15 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for lost side. Five Weert and four Den Bosch players scored in double figures. Weert maintains eighth position with 4-24 record. Den Bosch at the other side keeps the fourth place with 14 games lost.
