Regular Season Round 26: Strasbourg - Paris-Levallois 82-67

Date: April 8, 2017
The game in Strasbourg was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Paris-Levallois (16-10) played at the court of sixth ranked Strasbourg IG (17-9). Strasbourg IG defeated Paris-Levallois 82-67 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Paris-Levallois. The game was mostly controlled by Strasbourg IG. Paris-Levallois managed to win fourth quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strasbourg IG made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. The former international forward Jeremy Leloup (202-87) notched 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American-FYR Macedonian Romeo Travis (201-84, college: Akron) supported him with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Strasbourg IG players scored in double figures. Strasbourg IG's coach Vincent Collet used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 10 points and 15 rebounds by the former international power forward Louis Labeyrie (209-92) did not help to save the game for Paris-Levallois. American guard Jason Rich (191-86) added 19 points for the guests. Strasbourg IG have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser Paris-Levallois dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Strasbourg IG will meet JDA Dijon (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Paris-Levallois will play against Gravelines-Dunkerque (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
