There was no surprise when 14th ranked Roma S.Azzurra (6-22) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Roma Luiss (15-13) 72-54 on Saturday. Roma Luiss forced 21 Roma S.Azzurra turnovers and outrebounded them 48-28 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Roma S.Azzurra was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Eugenio Beretta (206-96) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Francesco Ramenghi (209-92) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Four Roma Luiss players scored in double figures. Serbian Lazar Nikolic (203-99, agency: BeoBasket) produced 9 points and 8 rebounds and Mattia Palumbo (194-0) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Roma Luiss went down to seventh position (B) due to points difference, which they share with Crema. Loser Roma S.Azzurra keeps the fourteenth place with 22 games lost.
