Regular Season Round 25: Albino - Bolzano 64-59

Very predictable result when eighth ranked Albino (12-13) beat at home 13th ranked Bolzano (5-20) 64-59 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Bolzano won fourth quarter 16-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Albino forced 19 Bolzano turnovers. Croatian guard Lana Packovski (170-94) fired 16 points and 4 steals for the winners. Guard Linda Manzini (176-90) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four Albino players scored in double figures. Albino's coach Giuliano Stibiel used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Croatian power forward Ivona Matic (189-86) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds and point guard Viviana Giordano (167-89) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Albino maintains eighth place in A2 with 12-13 record. Loser Bolzano keeps the thirteenth position with 20 games lost. Albino will face higher ranked Team Crema (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bolzano will play against Orvieto (#3) and hope to win that game.
