Regular Season Round 25: Toulouse - Roche 63-49

There was a change at the LF2 leadership position after last games. Round 25 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Roche (21-4). They were defeated by eighth ranked Toulouse (13-12) 63-49 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Roche. The game was mostly controlled by Toulouse. Roche managed to win third quarter 9-6. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Toulouse forced 20 Roche turnovers. American guard Leah Metcalf (170-83, college: N.Carolina) stepped up and scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and Senegalese power forward Oumou Toure (190-88, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Toulouse players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Elodie Naigre (182-95) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and guard Johana Tayeau (173-89) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toulouse moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Montbrison. Roche at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Avenir who have the same record. There is only one round left in the Regular Season. And it will be most important game for Roche this season. They will face strong Bretagne Basket trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Toulouse will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked COB Calais at home.
