Regular Season Round 29: Kangoeroes - Antwerp 83-78

The game between second ranked Antwerp Giants (18-10) and fourth ranked Kangoeroes (16-13) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Antwerp Giants were defeated by Kangoeroes in a tough game in Willebroek 78-83. 34 personal fouls committed by Antwerp Giants helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Senegalese power forward Pape Badji (208-92) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and American forward Terrance Henry (206-89, college: Mississippi) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. American power forward Gavin Ware (206-93, college: Mississippi St.) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Mike Smith (198-87, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Inception Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kangoeroes maintains fourth place with 16-13 record. Antwerp Giants at the other side keep the second position with ten games lost. They share it with Brussels. Kangoeroes are looking forward to face Belfius Mons-Hainaut (#8) in Jemappes in the next round. Antwerp Giants will play at home against Belfius Mons-Hainaut (#8) and are hoping to win this game.
