Regular Season Round 26: Limoges - Nancy 95-74

Very expected game when 18th ranked Sluc Nancy (6-20) was smashed on the road by tenth ranked Limoges CSP Elite (12-14) 95-74 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Limoges CSP Elite dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Sluc Nancy's 26. They outrebounded Sluc Nancy 44-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. Limoges CSP Elite looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American point guard DaShaun Wood (185-85, college: Wright St., agency: Inception Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. The other American import guard William Buford (196-90, college: Ohio St., agency: Two Points) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Limoges CSP Elite's coach Dusko Vujosevic felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American-Montenegrin point guard Brion Rush (186-84, college: Grambling St., agency: Three Eye Sports) replied with 18 points and 5 assists and Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Sluc Nancy. Five Limoges CSP Elite and four Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. Limoges CSP Elite maintains tenth position with 12-14 record. Sluc Nancy lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 20 games lost. Limoges CSP Elite will face Chalons-Reims (#13) on the road in the next round. Sluc Nancy will play against the league's second-placed Chalon/Saor (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
