Regular Season Round 53: Kagawa FA - Ehime OV 67-80

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Orange Vikings' (26-25) road victory over 5th ranked Kagawa FA (15-36) 80-67 on Saturday. They outrebounded Kagawa FA 47-36 including 32 on the defensive glass. U.S. Virgin Islands center Craig Williams (206-89, college: TCU) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. Blackledge is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Orange Vikings players scored in double figures. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Takada Shuichi (194-83) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Orange Vikings maintains fourth place with 26-25 record. Loser Kagawa FA keeps the fifth position with 36 games lost. Orange Vikings will have a break next round. Kagawa FA will play again at home against Orange Vikings (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
