Regular Season Round 26: Maccabi T-A - Hapoel Eilat 73-76

Top ranked Maccabi T-A (17-9) recorded its ninth loss in Tel-Aviv. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked Hapoel Eilat (16-10) 76-73. It looked good early as Maccabi T-A took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hapoel Eilat had a 28-16 second period charge getting the lead and Maccabi T-A was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 73-76. American forward Landon Milbourne (201-87, college: Maryland) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import forward Will Daniels (202-86, college: Rhode Island) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American swingman Devin Smith (196-83, college: Virginia) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds and the former international Guy Pnini (200-83) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Maccabi T-A. Four Maccabi T-A players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hapoel Eilat have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Maccabi T-A lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the second position with nine games lost. Hapoel Eilat will play against league's leader Hapoel Holon at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Maccabi T-A will play against Hapoel Jerusalem and hopes to get back on the winning track.
