The game in Roseto was also quite interesting. Third ranked Ravenna (19-9) played at the court of 6th ranked Roseto (16-12). Ravenna defeated Roseto 81-71 on Sunday. Ravenna dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Roseto's 24. American point guard Derrick Marks (190-93, college: Boise St.) fired 22 points for the winners. Guard Matteo Tambone (192-94) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Adam Smith (185-92, college: Georgia Tech) produced 25 points and his fellow American import power forward Brandon Sherrod (198-92, college: Yale) added 15 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Ravenna and four Roseto players scored in double figures. Ravenna maintains third position in A2 with 19-9 record having just three points less than leader Angelico Biella. Loser Roseto keeps the sixth place with 12 games lost. Ravenna will meet Chieti (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Roseto will play against Piacenza (#11) and hope to secure a win.
