Regular Season Round 53: SeaHorses - Nagoya DD 72-58

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kariya. First ranked Aishin Sea Horses faced 3rd placed Diamond Dolphins. Host Aishin Sea Horses (41-10) defeated guests from Nagoya (23-28) 72-58. American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and the former international center JR Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) accounted for 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. International power forward Tenketsu Harimoto (198-92) came up with 15 points and American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Diamond Dolphins in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aishin Sea Horses have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 41-10 record, which they share with Tochigi Brex. Diamond Dolphins lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with 28 games lost. Aishin Sea Horses' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Ryukyu GK in Okinawa and it will be for sure the game of the week. Diamond Dolphins will play at home against Osaka Evessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
