Regular Season Round 28: Eurobasket Roma - Agrigento 64-79

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Agrigento (16-12) beat on the road 10th ranked Eurobasket Roma (13-15) 79-64 on Sunday. Agrigento made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Alessandro Piazza (175-87) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 assists and guard Marco Evangelisti (198-84) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Agrigento players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Tony Easley (206-87, college: Murray St.) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Eugenio Fanti (184-91) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. Eurobasket Roma's coach Davide Bonora tested twelve players and allowed the starting five to rest. Agrigento moved-up to fourth place in A2. Newly promoted Eurobasket Roma dropped to the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Agrigento will face Lighthouse TR (#8) in Trapani in the next round. Eurobasket Roma will play on the road against Agropoli and hope to win that game.
