No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked San Severo (19-9) smashed at home 13th ranked Valdiceppo (8-19) 82-56 on Sunday. San Severo dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Valdiceppo's 14. They outrebounded Valdiceppo 35-21 including 27 on the defensive glass. San Severo looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Valdiceppo's players. Power forward Alessandro Cecchetti (200-91) fired 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Iris Ikangi (200-94, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Umberto Meschini (190-94) produced 11 points and 4 assists and point guard Edoardo Casuscelli (180-89) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. San Severo moved-up to third place in B. Newly promoted Valdiceppo keeps the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. San Severo will face Matera (#6) on the road in the next round. Valdiceppo will play against the league's second-placed Bisceglie (#2) and hope to win that game.
