There was no surprise in Rishon Le-Zion where 12th ranked Maccabi K/G (4-22) was defeated by ninth ranked Maccabi Rishon (12-14) 94-87 on Sunday. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Cameron Long (193-88, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) who scored 28 points. Power forward Charles Thomas (203-86, college: Arkansas) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Josh Selby (188-91, college: Kansas, agency: HMS) produced 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Brandon Bowman (206-84, college: Georgetown) added 27 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Defending champion maintains ninth position with 12-14 record. Maccabi K/G lost sixth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Maccabi Rishon will face higher ranked Ironi Nahariya (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Maccabi K/G will play against Galil Gilboa (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
