Regular Season Round 26: Vanoli CR - Germani BR 80-86
Date: April 9, 2017
Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Vanoli Cremona (7-19) lost at home to twelfth ranked Brescia (12-14) 86-80. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Vanoli Cremona won third quarter 18-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Brescia won last quarter 29-24. The best player for the winners was international point guard Luca Vitali (201-86) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Marcus Landry (201-85, college: Wisconsin) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Darius Johnson-Odom (187-89, college: Marquette, agency: BeoBasket) produced 18 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Tashawn Thomas (203-93, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Vanoli Cremona players scored in double figures. Brescia moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Enel Brindisi and Auxilium TO. Brescia's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Umana Venezia at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
