There was an upset when higher ranked Matera (15-11) was outplayed on the road by twelfth ranked Giulianova (10-17) 90-65 on Sunday. Giulianova shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Matera's players. Center Riccardo Bartolozzi (202-95) fired 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Simone De-Angelis (201-86) chipped in 18 points. Five Giulianova players scored in double figures. Giulianova moved-up to eleventh place in B. Loser Matera keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost.
