Very expected game when 16th ranked Recanati (7-21) was defeated at home by fifth ranked F.Kontatto BO (17-11) 79-71 on Sunday. F.Kontatto BO made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Recanati turnovers. Strangely Recanati outrebounded F.Kontatto BO 34-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. Recanati was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Leonardo Candi (190-97, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and American forward Justin Knox (205-89, college: N.Carolina, agency: Two Points) who added 19 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Knox is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four F.Kontatto BO players scored in double figures. At the losing side Swedish-American Erik Rush (196-88, college: Montana St.) responded with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and American guard Travis Bader (196-91, college: Oakland) scored 19 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. F.Kontatto BO maintains fifth position in A2 with 17-11 record. Loser Recanati keeps the sixteenth place with 21 games lost.
