There was no surprise when 11th ranked Venafro (9-16) was defeated on the road by second ranked Bisceglie (23-5) 79-73 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Bisceglie made 27-of-33 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Guard Santiago Bruno (-93, agency: Players Group) fired 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Andrea Chiriatti (198-93) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Franco Migliori (199-82) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Mauro Liburdi (200-82) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Bisceglie maintains second position in B with 23-5 record having just two point less than leader Montegrano, which they share with Bergamo. Loser Venafro dropped to the twelfth place with 16 games lost. Bisceglie will face Valdiceppo (#13) in Perugia in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Venafro will play at home against Ortona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
