Marburg dropped Bad Aibling and advanced into the next round. The game without a history. BC Pharmaserv Marburg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. BC Pharmaserv Marburg outrebounded Fireballs 38-24 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for Bulgarian power forward Diana Voynova (192-88, college: Duquesne) who led her team to a victory with 17 points and 9 rebounds. The former international power forward Svenja Greunke (188-89) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. BC Pharmaserv Marburg's coach Patrick Unger felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Lindsay Sherbert (184, college: Gonzaga) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Jessica Hootmann (190-85) added 20 points and 5 assists in the effort for Fireballs. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
