LigaA top team - San Lorenzo (31-15) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Argentino (24-23) in Almagra 95-67. The game without a history. San Lorenzo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Argentino's 36. They outrebounded Argentino 44-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. San Lorenzo players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Argentino's players. The best player for the winners was the former international Marcos Mata (201-86) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. International Selem Safar (190-87) chipped in 22 points and 6 assists. Five San Lorenzo players scored in double figures. San Lorenzo's coach Julio Cesar Lamas felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international point guard Luis Cequeira (180-85) produced 18 points and 4 assists and American power forward Chaz Crawford (207-84, college: Drexel, agency: DTMones) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Defending champion maintains first position with 31-15 record. Argentino at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 23 games lost. San Lorenzo's next round opponent will be Echague (#10) in Parana and are hoping to win another game. Argentino will play at home against Libertad Sunchales (#7) and hope to win that game.
