Second Stage Round 6: Sagesse - Louaize 88-81

The most important game in the last round took place in Beirut between third ranked Louaize (11-13) and fourth ranked Sagesse (8-16) on Tuesday night. Louaize was defeated by Sagesse in a tough game on the road 81-88. Sagesse looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sagesse made 8 blocks. American forward Calvin Godfrey (206-90, college: Memphis) had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge) chipped in 29 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Wendell Lewis (208-89, college: Alabama St., agency: HMS) with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and the former international Elie Stephan (193-86, college: Alabama So. CC) scored 22 points. Sagesse maintains fourth position in LBL with 8-16 record. Louaize at the other side keeps the third place with 13 games lost.
