Regular Season Round 27: Cholet - Nanterre 85-54

Date: April 11, 2017
An interesting game took place in Cholet where 4th placed JSF Nanterre (18-9) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Cholet Basket (10-17) 85-54 on Tuesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of JSF Nanterre. The game without a history. Cholet Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Cholet Basket outrebounded JSF Nanterre 42-21 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. JSF Nanterre was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American-Dominican M.J. Rhett (206-92, college: Mississippi) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Center Jerry Boutsiele (207-92) helped adding 9 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American point guard Chris Warren (178-88, college: Mississippi) with 9 points and 5 assists and the other American import forward Brian Conklin (198-89, college: St.Louis) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cholet Basket moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Dijon and Hyeres-Toulon. Loser JSF Nanterre keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Cholet Basket will face higher ranked Strasbourg IG (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. JSF Nanterre will play against Entente Orleans 45 and hope to win that game.
