Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Strasbourg IG (18-9) beat on the road 12th ranked JDA Dijon (10-17) 81-67 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Strasbourg IG led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for the former international guard Paul Lacombe (195-90, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Point guard Frank Ntilikina (196-98) helped adding 10 points and 6 assists. Strasbourg IG's coach Vincent Collet used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was naturalized Chadian forward Jacques Alingue (201-88) with 11 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard David Holston (168-86, college: Chicago St.) scored 16 points. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Strasbourg IG. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Nanterre. Loser JDA Dijon keeps the twelfth position with 17 games lost. Strasbourg IG will face Cholet Basket (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JDA Dijon will play against ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket and hope to win that game.
