Regular Season Round 27: Paris-Levallois - Gravelines 98-79

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque's (15-12) road loss to sixth ranked Paris-Levallois (17-10) 79-98 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Paris-Levallois. Gravelines-Dunkerque was better in second period 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Paris-Levallois dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Gravelines-Dunkerque's 34. It was a great evening for American guard Jason Rich (191-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international center Vincent Poirier (210-93) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Paris-Levallois players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Richard Solomon (208-92, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Kyle Gibson (196-87, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: BeoBasket) scored 18 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Paris-Levallois maintains sixth place with 17-10 record. Loser Gravelines-Dunkerque keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Paris-Levallois will face Hyeres-Toulon (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against Sluc Nancy (#18) and hope to win that game.
