Crailsheim overcame Oettinger and cut the deficit in the series. Crailsheim Merlins made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for American swingman Kevin Tiggs (196-84, college: E.Tenn.St.) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Chase Griffin (190-83, college: Pepperdine) contributed with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American-Ivorian forward Dane Watts (203-86) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and American point guard Darrel Mitchell (181-84, college: LSU, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points and 6 assists in the effort for Oettinger Rockets Gotha. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
