Not a big story in a game in Athens where 11th ranked Arkadikos (9-17) was defeated by third ranked Doukas (21-4) 83-67 on Wednesday. Doukas forced 21 Arkadikos turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Alexis Kiritsis (198-82) who scored 30 points. Spanish center Guillem Rubio (202-82) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Power forward Efthimios Tsakaleris (207-89) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and forward Giannis Prodromou (196-87) added 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Four Arkadikos players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Doukas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 21-4 record having just three points less than leader Panionios. Loser Arkadikos keeps the eleventh place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Doxa Pefkon. Doukas will meet GS Larissas (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Arkadikos will play against Ethnikos (#6) and hope to secure a win.
