Regular Season Round 27: Bnei Hertzeliyya - Hapoel T-A 75-60

Date: April 12, 2017
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Bnei Hasharon (16-11) beat 7th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (13-14) in Hod Hasharon 75-60 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Bnei Hasharon. Hapoel Tel-Aviv was better in second period 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American-Montenegrin forward Halil Kanacevic (203-91, college: St.Joseph's) who led his team to a victory with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. International forward Karam Mashour (198-91, college: Morehead St., agency: Three Eye Sports) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. The former international Raviv Limonad (191-84) answered with 16 points and naturalized American power forward Richard Howell (203-90, college: N.Carolina St.) added 8 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bnei Hasharon maintains fourth place with 16-11 record. Loser Hapoel Tel-Aviv keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. Bnei Hasharon will face higher ranked Hapoel Eilat (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Maccabi Rishon (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
