Regular Season Round 32: Coruna - Castello 89-76
Date: April 12, 2017
Very expected game in Coruna where 12th ranked Castello (13-19) was defeated by sixth ranked Leyma Basquet (19-13) 89-76 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Leyma Basquet. Castello was better in second period 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Castello 47-30 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian guard Filip Djuran (195-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 9 rebounds and Trinidad and Tobago center Kyle Rowley (213-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) who added 19 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Leyma Basquet players scored in double figures. Guard Eduardo Duran (190-91, agency: Duran International) responded with 16 points and Lithuanian center Deividas Busma (212-87, college: Idaho St., agency: Two Points) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leyma Basquet maintains sixth position with 19-13 record. Loser Castello keeps the twelfth place with 19 games lost. Leyma Basquet will face league's leader Gipuzkoa in San Sebastian in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
