Targu Mures outgunned CSU Sibiu on the road to even the series. Targu Mures outrebounded CSU Sibiu 41-27 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin point guard Goran Martinic (187-87) who scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American swingman Lamarcus Reed (196-88, college: Texas Arlington) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Five Targu Mures players scored in double figures. The former international forward Bogdan Popescu (200-78, college: Alaska-Fairb.) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Kevin Hardy (188-93, college: McNeese St.) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts.
