Regular Season Round 28: AZS Koszalin - Siarka 105-54

Fifteenth ranked AZS Koszalin (9-21) crushed at home 17th ranked Siarka (4-26) by 51 points 105-54, which is the biggest margin this round. AZS Koszalin dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Siarka's 28. They outrebounded Siarka 55-24 including a 39-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. AZS Koszalin shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Siarka's players. It was a very good performance for American swingman Kenny Manigault (196-91, college: Pikeville) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. AZS Koszalin's coach Piotr Ignatowicz felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Tomasz Wojdyla (201-77) replied with 16 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Jan Grzelinski (180-94, college: Canisius) added 12 points in the effort for Siarka. AZS Koszalin moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Asseco. Siarka lost fifth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. AZS Koszalin's next round opponent will be higher ranked Polpharma (#9) in Starogard and it may be quite challenging game. Siarka will play at home against Asseco (#13) and hope to win that game.
