Regular Season Round 55: Shinshu BW - Toyotsu FE 82-78

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Toyotsu FE (37-16) against sixth ranked Shinshu BW (13-41) on Saturday night. Visiting Toyotsu FE was defeated by Shinshu BW in a tough game in Nagano 78-82. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Toyotsu FE. Toyotsu FE was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Canadian center Chad Posthumus (211-91, college: Morehead St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 26 rebounds. Dutch power forward Jeroen van-der-List (213-89, college: Indian Hills CC) helped adding 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. Shinshu BW's coach Ryutaro Onodera used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Nigerian center Solomon Alabi (216-88, college: Florida St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and American forward Rodney Carney (201-84, college: Memphis) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Four Shinshu BW and five Toyotsu FE players scored in double figures. Shinshu BW maintains sixth place with 13-41 record. Loser Toyotsu FE keeps the second position with 16 games lost. Shinshu BW will have a break next round. Toyotsu FE will play on the road against the league's leader Shimane Magic and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
