Regular Season Round 27: Enel Brindisi - EA7 Armani 70-68

Date: April 15, 2017
The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Armani Milano (21-6) on the court of ninth ranked Enel Brindisi on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by Enel Brindisi 70-68. Armani Milano was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 17-12 charge of Enel Brindisi, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 Armani Milano turnovers. It was a great evening for American point guard Phil Goss (188-83, college: Drexel) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 5 rebounds. Senegalese-French forward Amath MBaye (206-89, college: Oklahoma) helped adding 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American-Georgian guard Richard Hickman (189-85, college: NC-Greensboro) with 9 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian Milan Macvan (206-89) scored 11 points. Armani Milano's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Enel Brindisi (13-14) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with The Flexx PT. Defending champion Armani Milano still keeps top position with six games lost. Enel Brindisi is looking forward to face Juvecaserta (#14) in Caserta in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Armani Milano will play at home against Grissin Bon RE (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
