Regular Season Round 55: Kumamoto V. - Kagawa FA 65-68

Important game to mention about took place in Kumamoto. Fifth ranked Kagawa FA (17-36) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 3rd placed Kumamoto V. (39-14) 68-65 on Saturday evening. Strangely Kumamoto V. outrebounded Kagawa FA 41-29 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Taku Bandoh (185-92) accounted for 11 points for the winning side. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import forward Joel James (208-94, college: N.Carolina) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Kumamoto V. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kagawa FA maintains fifth place with 17-36 record. Kumamoto V. at the other side keeps the third position with 14 games lost. Kagawa FA will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kumamoto V. will play again at home against Kagawa FA and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
