Regular Season Round 28: Orleans - Nanterre 86-92

Date: April 15, 2017
There was no surprise when 17th ranked Entente Orleans 45 (8-20) was defeated at home by fifth ranked JSF Nanterre (19-9) 92-86. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. The winners were led by American point guard Chris Warren (178-88, college: Mississippi) who scored that evening 26 points and 6 assists and Mathias Lessort (205-95) supported him with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Four JSF Nanterre players scored in double figures. JSF Nanterre's coach Pascal Donadieu allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists by American swingman Micah Downs (195-86, college: Gonzaga) did not help to save the game for Entente Orleans 45. His fellow American import forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley) added 25 points for lost side. JSF Nanterre moved-up to third place, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez and Strasbourg. Entente Orleans 45 at the other side keeps the seventeenth position with 20 games lost. JSF Nanterre's next round opponent will be Olympique Antibes (#15) at home which should be an easy win for them. Entente Orleans 45 will play against Paris-Levallois and hope to win that game.
