Very important is a road loss of third ranked Legnano (18-11) against sixth ranked Novipiu Casale (15-14) on Saturday night. Visiting Legnano was defeated by Novipiu Casale in Casale 73-61. Novipiu Casale players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Point guard Giovanni Tomassini (188-88) nailed 11 points and 9 assists for the winning side and American forward Jordan Tolbert (201-92, college: SMU) accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds. Novipiu Casale's coach Marco Ramondino allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American Nikolas Raivio (192-86, college: Portland, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with 16 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Federico Maiocco (200-83) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for Legnano in the defeat. Despite that victory Novipiu Casale went down to seventh position (A2) due to points difference. Legnano at the other side keeps the third place with 11 games lost. Novipiu Casale's next round opponent will be FCM Ferentino (#13) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Legnano will play against Viola RC (#15) and hope to win that game.
