Regular Season Round 28: Boulogne - Roanne 73-86

No shocking result in a game in Boulogne-sur-Mer where fourteenth ranked Chorale de Roanne (12-15) defeated 16th ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (10-18) 86-73 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Chorale de Roanne. SO Maritime Boulogne managed to win third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chorale de Roanne shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds and Finnish Antti Kanervo (192-89, agency: Blacktop Management) who added 16 points during the contest. Five Chorale de Roanne players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Teddy Gipson (191-80, college: Arkansas) responded with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Dutch Worthy de-Jong (194-88) scored 21 points. Chorale de Roanne moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser SO Maritime Boulogne keeps the sixteenth position with 18 games lost. They share it with Vichy Clermont and St Chamond. Chorale de Roanne will meet higher ranked SPO Rouen (#11) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SO Maritime Boulogne will play against Lille Metropole (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
