Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked SAP Vaucluse (14-19) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Vendee Challans (18-15) 74-70 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-70. American center Demarco Cox (203-90, college: Georgia Tech) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard Matthew Gibson (195-84) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was American point guard Deremy Geiger (180-90, college: Idaho, agency: Blacktop Management) with 21 points and guard Daye Kaba (191-86, college: Marist) scored 14 points. Vendee Challans maintains seventh place with 18-15 record, which they share with Lourdes. Loser SAP Vaucluse dropped to the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. Vendee Challans will face Saint Vallier (#11) on the road in the next round. SAP Vaucluse will play against Rueil and hope to win that game.
