Very expected game in Mirandola where 16th ranked Recanati (7-22) was rolled over by eighth ranked Mantova (16-13) 96-65 on Saturday. Mantova made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Mantova outrebounded Recanati 47-30 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Recanati was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward DeAndre Daniels (206-92, college: Connecticut) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds. His fellow American import LaMarshall Corbett (189-88, college: Angelo St.) chipped in 15 points. Loser Recanati keeps the sixteenth position with 22 games lost. Mantova will face higher ranked Ravenna (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
