Regular Season Round 28: Limoges - Le Mans 79-68

The game between closely ranked teams ended with tenth ranked Limoges CSP Elite's (14-14) home victory over 11th ranked Le Mans (11-17) 79-68. It looked good early as Le Mans took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Limoges CSP Elite had a 16-14 second period charge getting the lead and Le Mans was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-79. The winners were led by the former international center Ousmane Camara (202-89) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) supported him with 17 points and 5 assists. Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) did not help to save the game for Le Mans. His fellow American import point guard Giordan Watson (178-85, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points for lost side. Le Mans' coach Alexandre Menard tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Limoges CSP Elite have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with ASVEL and Le Portel. Le Mans lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 17 games lost. Limoges CSP Elite's next round opponent will be league's leader Monaco on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Le Mans will play against Le Portel (#8) and hope to win that game.
