Regular Season Round 28: Start Lublin - Torun 69-72

Fourteenth-ranked Start (8-22) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Twarde Pierniki (20-10) in Lublin on Saturday. The visitors from Torun managed to secure only three-point victory 72-69. However their fans expected much easier game. Twarde Pierniki made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. American-Hungarian point guard Obadiah Trotter (188-84, college: Alabama A&M) fired 20 points for the winners. American guard Kyle Weaver (198-86, college: Washington St.) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Nick Kellogg (190-91, college: Ohio) produced 20 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Jason Boone (203-85, college: New York U., agency: Three Eye Sports) added 15 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Twarde Pierniki moved-up to third place, which they share with Stal Ostrow. Start lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with 22 games lost. Twarde Pierniki will meet at home league's leader Anwil in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Start will play against Trefl (#10) in Sopot and hope to secure a win.
