Regular Season Round 56: Cyberdyne IR - Gunma 87-68

Top ranked Gunma (35-19) recorded its nineteenth loss in Tsukuba on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by fourth ranked Cyberdyne IR (26-28) 87-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Gunma. Cyberdyne IR made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Cyberdyne IR players scored in double figures. Forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) produced 19 points and center Marcus Cousin (211-86, college: Houston) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cyberdyne IR moved-up to third place, which they share with Yamagata. Gunma at the other side still keeps top position with 19 games lost. Cyberdyne IR is looking forward to face Yamagata (#4) on the road in the next round. Gunma will play against Aomori Watts and is hoping to win this game.
