Fourth-ranked Orange Vikings (27-27) made lots of trouble for second ranked Dragonflies (42-12) in Matsuyama on Sunday. The visitors from Hiroshima managed to secure only two-point victory 75-73. However their fans expected easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Aziz NDiaye (213-88, college: Washington, agency: Babcock Sports) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 rebounds and Australian-Trinidad and Tobago guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona, agency: Babcock Sports) who added 17 points during the contest. Four Dragonflies players scored in double figures. U.S. Virgin Islands center Craig Williams (206-89, college: TCU) responded with 30 points and 6 rebounds and Toshino Yoshihiko (186-92) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Dragonflies maintains second position with 42-12 record having just three point less than leader Shimane SM. Loser Orange Vikings keep the fourth place with 27 games lost. Dragonflies will meet at home Kagawa FA (#5) in the next round. Orange Vikings will play against the league's leader Shimane Magic and hope to secure a win.
