Second Stage Round 9: Kashan - Gorgan 74-64

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Kashan's (3-4) home victory over 5th ranked Shahrdari Gorgan (1-6) 74-64. It looked good early as Shahrdari Gorgan took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kashan had a 18-10 second period charge getting the lead and Shahrdari Gorgan was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-74. Kashan forced 23 Shahrdari Gorgan turnovers. The former international center Masoud Soleimani (207) stepped up and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Arash Najafi (-77) chipped in 19 points and 5 steals. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Majid GhasemZadeh (187-89) with 23 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward Sasoon Abramian (208-87) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kashan moved-up to third place, which they share with Chemidor. Shahrdari Gorgan lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
