Regular Season Round 14: BC Titebi - DELTA 71-73

The most exciting game of round 14 in the A League took place in Tbilisi. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th ranked BC Titebi (7-7) to first ranked DELTA (11-3) 73-71 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of BC Titebi. The guests trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 24-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. DELTA forced 26 BC Titebi turnovers. The best player for the winners was American Deondre Ray (196, college: Cameron) who scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Irakli Alkhanaidze (202-92) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Ryan Aaron (190-91, college: S.Nazarene) produced 39 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Armani Flannigan (203-92, college: N.Texas) added 13 points and 22 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Newly promoted DELTA maintains first position with 11-3 record. BC Titebi at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. DELTA are looking forward to face bottom-ranked SEU Tbilisi (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. BC Titebi will play against Arena-76 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
