Second Stage Round 9: Petrochimi - Chemidor 112-81

Date: April 20, 2017
An interesting game for Petrochimi (7-1) which hosted in Bandar Imam 3rd placed Chemidor (3-4). First ranked Petrochimi had an easy win 112-81. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 31 points. Petrochimi shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 68.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for international Behnam Yakhchali (196-95, agency: Three Eye Sports) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 8 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!). American swingman James White (201-82, college: Cincinnati, agency: Three Eye Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Daequan Cook (195-87, college: Ohio St.) answered with 27 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Javad Davari (185-83) added 17 points and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) in the effort for Chemidor. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Petrochimi have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-1 record. Chemidor at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Kashan. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
