Regular Season Round 28: Bnei Hertzeliyya - Hapoel Eilat 71-79

The game between Top Four teams took place in Hod Hasharon. 4th ranked host Bnei Hasharon (16-12) lost to third ranked Hapoel Eilat (18-10) 79-71. The game without a history. Hapoel Eilat led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Hapoel Eilat forced 21 Bnei Hasharon turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Bnei Hasharon helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for American forward Landon Milbourne (201-87, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import point guard Pierria Henry (193-93, college: Charlotte) contributed with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Hapoel Eilat's coach Oded Katash used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. International forward Karam Mashour (198-91, college: Morehead St., agency: Three Eye Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds and American-Montenegrin forward Halil Kanacevic (203-91, college: St.Joseph's) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. Four Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Hapoel Eilat have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Hapoel Holon. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the fourth place with 12 games lost. Hapoel Eilat's next round opponent will be Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#9) at home and are hoping to win another game. Bnei Hasharon will play against Hapoel Jerusalem (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
