Regular Season Round 7: Joinville - Blumenau 78-74

Very significant was Joinville's (#3, 7-4) victory against 4th placed Blumenau (4-7) 78-74. It was a great evening for guard Lucas Vezaro (188-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. Point guard Jeferson Froehlich (193-91) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Joinville players scored in double figures. Joinville's coach George Salles used entire bench in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Deonta Stocks (185-88, college: W.Georgia) responded with 20 points and forward Bruno Lazzaris (202-90) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Joinville maintains third place with 7-4 record having four points less than leader Botafogo F.R. Blumenau at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Joinville are looking forward to face league's leader Botafogo F.R. in Rio de Janeiro in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Blumenau will play against Brusque and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
