Regular Season Round 6: Albury LB - Geelong S. 59-71

There was a small surprise in Albury where fourth ranked Geelong Supercats (2-3) beat second-best Lady Bandits (1-2) 71-59 on Friday. Geelong Supercats forced 30 Lady Bandits turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Alexandra Duck (170-90, college: Murray St.) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Chantel-Anais Horvat (182-98) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Toccara Ross (184-86, college: Iowa St., agency: LBM Management) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds and Stephanie Gorman added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Geelong Supercats moved-up to third place in League. Loser Lady Bandits dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Geelong Supercats will have a break next round. Lady Bandits will play at home against Hobart Chargers (#7) and hope to win that game.
